Seasonal Holly Tree
A Holly Tree branch with holly leaves & red berries is the first door on my advent calendar. In Christianity it symbolizes the crown of thorns placed on Jesus’ head, and the red berries represent his blood.
It was also a pagan symbol of fertility, eternal life, and guarding against bad luck.
