Pull a Christmas Cracker!

From around the 1840s Christmas crackers were invented by Tom Smith, a London confectioner, who wrapped sweets in twisted tissue, with the pop idea coming from the sound of a crackling log fire. Now always loved and enjoyed, wearing a paper crown hat, telling a silly joke, and sometimes finding a half decent tiny toy or useful thing.
